Advice:
The iron pan should be baked before the first use (for instructions, see below). It needs a lot of fat at first. This is due to the fact that the patina, which acts as a non -stick layer, is formed only over time. The longer you use this pan, the less fat you will need.

No kitchen should be without an iron pan and it is a necessity for every cook. In addition to its high level of functionality, iron is characterized by its versatility. Professional chefs know the secret of iron pans: everything is in the material!
As with our grandparents or in the old mountain huts - the old iron pans, used for years, give their own aroma and the right crust.

Burn before first use
The protection against corrosion on the pan (wax layer) must be removed. To do this, fill a sink or a bowl of hot water and leave the rösle iron pan to soften in it for a few minutes with a little detergent. Remove the rest with a dishwasher or sponge.
To make sure that nothing burns, the pan must form a protective layer (patina) before the first use. To do this, pour about 3 mm of oil in the pan and heat until the oil starts to smoke gently. Take the pan from the heat and allow to cool. Repeat this process three times using the same oil. Your Rösle pan is now ready for use! Do not heat the pan to the highest level, 75% is usually sufficient.
How to use
Use a lot of fat to start - use less later! The slightly porous iron structure absorbs more and more fat over time. This creates a natural layer (patina) inside and a natural non -stick effect. The pan becomes progressively darker to black, but this improves the frying properties. After use, place the cooking vessel on a heat -resistant surface. Only adequate oil/fat can be used for frying. Do not add water while the oil is hot in the pan - risk of splashing! Do not heat the pan for long periods without any content. This can lead to serious deformation of the base of the pan.
Always place food in hot fat. Rösle "natural" iron pans are not covered. These are resistant to scratches and cuts and do not change their characteristic structure of the surface even after years of use. When you use it on a grill, place the pan only on the grill. Under no circumstances should the pan should be placed directly on coal. To protect yourself against burns, use oven gloves or other thermal protection.
Note: It is completely normal for the pan to fade (patina). The original appearance cannot be restored after the first heating.
